The biggest Allium of them all, Allium altissimum Goliath has huge round purple flowers about 15cm (6") across carried on tall stems. Plant it in fertile soil and they might make it to a height of 1.8 metres (6 feet).

Other giants include Allium Gladiator and Allium giganteum.
