A deep violet drumstick Allium with unusual white anthers, Allium rosenbachianum is a favorite with florists. In the garden it's a useful mid-height early flowering Allium - a companion perhaps for Aliums Gladiator or Globemaster, which also flower early.  Flowers are average sized - 10cm (4"). Allium rosenbachianum album is a white form.
