This is an unusual double-flowered green columbine. With double lime-green buds opening into paler apple-flesh flowers, it will add texture and variety to a white border. 

It also does well in dappled shade and will flower well into Autumn or the first frost under the right conditions. 

Aquilegia 'Green Apples' is a cultivar of Aquilegia clematiflora.
