Magnolia Stellata 'Royal Star' has silvery pink buds, which open into scented, soft white ribbony flowers. Appearing a couple of weeks later than most Magnolia buds, they may well escape the last frosts. Habit is compact and twiggy.

Royal Star prefers full sun, but it will put up with some shade. Generally, more sun will give you more flowers. It was bred in 1960 from Magnolia Stellata 'Waterlily'.
