Tulipa humilis var. pulchella 'Albo Caerulea Oculata '
This is a stunning tulip. Neat open flowers have broad, pointed, green-veined, pure-white, petals and an amazing true blue center, which seeps through to the petal backs. It's fragrant too. Height to 15 cm (6"). Like all species tulips, it naturalizes well, but it less tolerant of heat than many of them. Previously, it has also been known as Tulip Violacea ‘Pallida’, Tulipa pulchella coerulea-oculata, Tulip pulchella albocoerulea oculata, Tulip Violacea ‘Pallida’ and Tulipa pulchella.
