tarda

tardaTulip tarda is probably the best known Species Tulip, and it is useful little tulip for a rock garden or even ground cover. Scented starry flowers come with almond-shaped bright yellow petals, which are tipped white on the inside and copper-pink on the outside. Foliage is strappy, bright green and glossy. Tulip tarda will self seed and naturalize readily, forming large clumps, even where winters are warm. Height is just 15cm (6").
